Florida Gulf Coast University's baseball team is gearing up for an exciting 2025 season with an eight-game stretch at Swanson Stadium to kick things off and a full slate of Atlantic Sun Conference games. Opening Games and Early Matchups

The Eagles begin the year with a visit from Fairfield for a three-game set from February 14th to 16th. This sets the stage for what promises to be an intense start to the season. Then, on February 18th and 19th, they host 2024 NCAA Regional participant Indiana State in a two-game series. It's the third consecutive season that the Eagles will face ISU, adding an extra layer of excitement. The homestand concludes with a three-game set against Stony Brook from February 21st to 23rd.These early games will test the team's mettle and give them a chance to establish their rhythm early on. The matchups against Fairfield and Indiana State will provide valuable experience, while facing Stony Brook will be a new challenge.

Conference Play Begins

Co-champions of the ASUN regular season in 2024, the Eagles start conference play with another co-champion. They visit Stetson for a three-game series from March 14th to 16th. Last year, the Eagles took two games in DeLand during the regular season, but Stetson would go on to eliminate them in the conference tournament. This year, they'll be looking to turn the tables and secure a strong start in conference play.The Eagles then face a new opponent in Division I as West Georgia visits Swanson Stadium from March 21st to 23rd. UWG is in the process of transitioning to D-I, making this a significant series for both teams. After that, they travel to UNF for a three-game ASUN series from March 28th to 30th. Last season, the Eagles swept the Ospreys in the final series of the ASUN regular season, clinching a share of the title. This year, they'll be aiming to build on that success.

Intra-Conference Matchups and Divisional Play

Last season, the Eagles swept Jacksonville at Swanson Stadium. This year, they'll try for another ASUN sweep from April 4th to 6th. It will be a test of their consistency and ability to dominate within the conference.After that, they head to Charlotte, North Carolina to face Queens in a three-game ASUN set. Last season, the Royals took two out of three from the Eagles in Charlotte, so this will be a chance for revenge.As part of the ASUN's switch to divisional play for 2025, the Eagles will play all five of their Southeast Division foes in return three-game sets. They go to JU from April 17th to 19th, followed by Queens coming to Fort Myers from April 25th to 27th. UNF will visit from May 2nd to 4th, and the Eagles will make their first trip to West Georgia from May 9th to 11th. The regular season closes with FGCU hosting Stetson from May 15th to 17th.Each of these intra-conference matchups will be crucial in determining the Eagles' standing in the ASUN and their chances of a conference championship.

ASUN Championship

The ASUN Championship will take place from May 20th to 25th in DeLand on the campus of Stetson.
