In Baltimore County, a truly astonishing situation unfolded. A car was stolen, and to everyone's horror, children were inside. This brazen crime has left the residents deeply concerned about what exactly took place. Emmanuel Azez expressed his disbelief, saying, "How you going to get in the car with kids….and you like, turn your back, come on you like there are kids in the car. You should have a little conscious and (say) this not the right thing to do."
Details of the Incident
It all happened on Liberty Road near Milford Mill Road just before 4 p.m. on Friday. The stolen vehicle was reported to be a Mercedes SUV, with two children under the age of ten inside. Officers rushed to the scene near the Liberty Pizza and Subs shop. Next door at the hair salon, Asha Hall was immediately alarmed by the news. She said, "It’s traumatizing. Imagine the kids must be traumatized by this event. Honestly, as a mother, that would, there’s nothing worse than that. That would scare me. I don’t know what I would do. And it’s horrible that people are just that evil."Police Response and Current Status
For now, the police are releasing only a few details. However, they have confirmed that the children have been located and are safe. "The kids are safe, that’s the good part. No kids were harmed, no kids were killed, they’re safe," said Azez. The investigation remains active and open, and the police are working hard to bring the culprits to justice.Residents' Questions and Concerns
Ms. Hall's questions linger. She asked, "My question is were (suspect/suspects) arrested, where are they coming from? How old were they, are we talking about children?" These are the concerns that the community shares. Such incidents raise questions about the safety of our neighborhoods and the well-being of our children. It is a wake-up call for us all to be more vigilant and to work together to ensure the safety of our loved ones.
