The St. Bonaventure men's club baseball team capped off an impressive season by defeating the University of Rochester 5-2 to win the New York Championship on November 2nd. Senior captain Connor Wieczorek recognized the championship-caliber potential of the team even before the season began. "I remember after the first day of tryouts talking to Ben [Confer] and saying, 'This is going to be our year man,'" Wieczorek recalled. The team's motto of "Accountability" proved to be a driving force throughout the season. "We would face our mistakes and move on from them; this is really what helped us," Wieczorek explained.

Through 10 games, they had amassed an 8-2 record and scored 44 runs, propelling them to the playoffs with momentum on their side. Co-captain Ben Confer emphasized the team's singular focus on the championship. "We had nothing on our minds besides running it back to another championship," Confer said. "Every guy we had on our roster wanted to win; nobody was selfish, and everybody pushed each other."
