Gaines's Journey: From Rams to Buccaneers to Bills
Gaines, now 30 years old, spent his initial four NFL seasons with the Los Angeles Rams, where he became a starter during their Super Bowl-winning campaign in 2021. Following his tenure with the Rams, he served as a backup for three seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Gaines, who entered the league as a fourth-round draft pick out of Washington in 2019, has been a free agent since his contract expired in March.

Throughout his 108 career games, including 34 starts, the 6-foot-1, 312-pound lineman has accumulated a total of 14.5 sacks and 16 tackles for loss. These statistics highlight his consistent ability to disrupt opposing offenses and make an impact on the field.

Gaines is anticipated to vie for a backup position behind established starters such as Ed Oliver and Deone Walker, as well as rookie T.J. Sanders.
