Jelly Roll's Encounter with Prince Harry

Jelly Roll, a household name in the music industry, recently found himself in an unexpected situation. He was approached by Prince Harry to perform at the 2025 Invictus Games. The clip shared on Instagram on Tuesday showed the British royal meeting Jelly Roll at a tattoo parlor. It was a moment that took Jelly Roll by surprise. "I could not believe it when they called me and told me Prince Harry wanted to get a tattoo today and he wanted me to give him his first tattoo? This is the coolest thing ever!" he exclaimed to a stunned and reluctant Prince Harry.However, Prince Harry had a different agenda. "No, I came here to ask you to do the Invictus Games. There’s no tattoo in this," he responded. But the two soon agreed to a trade off: a tattoo for the performance.

The Tattoo Process

The tattoo session was a unique experience. Prince Harry initially expressed his hesitation, saying, "I was thinking like my lower back or on my [expletive]." But Jelly Roll quickly got to work, blasting his neck with the Invictus Games’ “I am” logo. The "tattoo" came with a personalized detail - the singer's signature at the bottom, reading in full, “I am Jelly Roll.”After the tattoo was completed, Jelly Roll exclaimed, "Thank you for your time, I’ll see u in Vancouver prince!" and made his exit with a smile. "I’ll be there! I appreciate you!" he added.

Prince Harry, who served in the British Armed Forces, launched the Invictus Games in 2014 as a way to honor servicemembers and recognize their achievements.
