BANGOR, Wis. (WXOW) – In a remarkable turn of events, one local athlete is on the verge of a significant transition. Bryce Peterson from Bangor has taken a major step in his sports career by signing his National Letter of Intent. This decision will lead him to play Division II baseball at Concord University in West Virginia.

Choosing Concord: Location and More

When asked about his reason for choosing Concord, Peterson had a clear perspective. "As a kid, I always had a longing to be back down south. I'm originally from North Carolina, and that's where my heart lies. After living in this cold Wisconsin climate for a long time, I wanted to get away from the chill. There's a common stereotype that the baseball scene is a bit better down there. And then, one day, the coach reached out to me and saw something in me. I took a visit in August, and it just felt like home."

All-Conference Success

Peterson's baseball prowess is undeniable. He has been a two-time first team all-conference selection at the shortstop position in the Scenic Bluffs. Last season, his batting average stood at an impressive.531, showcasing his exceptional hitting skills. His ability to excel in this role has earned him recognition and set him on a path to continue his baseball journey at a higher level.

Personal Growth and Ambitions

Leaving his familiar surroundings and moving to a different state is a big decision for any athlete. But for Peterson, it's about more than just the game. It's about personal growth and chasing his dreams. "This opportunity at Concord gives me a chance to challenge myself and grow as a player. I'm excited to be part of a new team and community. I know it won't be easy, but I'm ready to put in the work and make the most of this chance."
