On November 16th, the campus welcomed the new McClarty Center with great enthusiasm. A ribbon-cutting ceremony marked the official opening, followed by a self-guided tour that allowed visitors to explore every corner of this magnificent building. Built to commemorate the college's 100th anniversary in 2026, the fine arts building incorporates the latest advancements in sound control baffling, lighting, and audio acoustics. It features a state-of-the-art program that elevates and broadcasts sound from the stage, creating an immersive experience for both performers and audiences.This center is not just an auditorium; it is a vibrant space that encompasses multiple forms of art media. The McCarty Family's Generosity

Harold McCarty, whose family name adorns the center, had the honor of being the first performer on its stage. He read four poems, with the final one written by his 10-year-old granddaughter who joined him on stage. The McCarty family's $1 million donation played a crucial role in jump-starting the development of this cultural landmark. Additionally, funding was arranged through Measure C, a $485 million bond passed in 2016, which funded 15 capital infrastructure projects, including the new fine arts building at Reedley College.This financial support has enabled the college to provide students with a world-class facility that rivals those found in major cities.
