Since his very first visit to the Walsh University campus, Benjamin had a clear sense that this was where his future lay. "The first time I went there, I absolutely loved it," Benjamin shared. "The coaches were outstanding, and they made a very strong impression from the very beginning. Their level of play in Division II is truly remarkable, and I am excited to get out there and start working towards my goals."This early connection set the stage for Benjamin's decision to pursue his dreams at Walsh University. He knew that this was the place where he could grow both as a baseball player and as an individual.

Overcoming Challenges to Reach the Next Level

A former golf player, Benjamin always had baseball as his dream. He fell in love with the sport at a young age and was determined to take it to the next level. To achieve this, he dedicated himself to a rigorous training routine, essentially living in the weight room and batting cage."It definitely wasn't easy," Benjamin admitted. "But I don't think I would trade a single second of the work for anything in the world. A lot of it was about getting stronger over time, but with my mental state, I had to be fully committed to what I was doing in the cage. That allowed me to get better day by day, and eventually, that's how I reached where I am today. Focusing on hitting barrels and staying in the middle of the field – that's all I could do."Benjamin's perseverance and hard work paid off, and he is now ready to take on the challenges of college baseball.

Once he gets to college, Benjamin has big plans. He aims to make an instant impact and be ready to start from day one.
