Hilton's Sing-Along with Kids

In the video, Hilton and Phoenix belted out the word “sanasa”. This familiar phrase is from “The Simple Life”, a show that Hilton was part of. Fans of the show will recall it as the show's sing-songy catchphrase, often sung by Hilton and her best friend Nicole Richie at random times. Phoenix and London then joined in by banging on a tiny bongo drum as Hilton laughed with joy. Hilton captioned her post with “Baby P’s new favorite song! #Sanasa,” highlighting the significance of this moment.

Hilton and her husband, entrepreneur Carter Reum, welcomed Phoenix and London via surrogate in 2023. This was a life-changing event for her. In an interview with PEOPLE that year, she opened up about what she found to be the most surprising part of motherhood.

“It’s just how much love I could have for someone,” she said. “I thought I knew what love was with my husband, but as soon as I met my baby, it’s just this love on another level. He has just changed my life in every way.” She continued, “I just feel like the luckiest girl in the world every single day for this beautiful family that I have.”

Hilton's Loving Tributes to Her Children

Since then, Hilton has shared many loving tributes to her children. A recent Thanksgiving post was particularly touching. She captioned it, “This Thanksgiving, my heart is overflowing with gratitude. I’m so thankful for my beautiful family and my precious babies who bring endless love, happiness and laughter into my life every day. Here’s to celebrating love, togetherness, and all the things we’re grateful for this year. Happy Thanksgiving from our family to yours.”

Behind the Scenes of the Lasting Tune

The origin of the lasting tune “sanasa” was revealed by Nicole Richie. On a December 11 episode of Alex Cooper’s Call Her Daddy podcast, Richie and Hilton shared that they wrote the song when they were 7 years old. Cooper asked Richie what her dad [musician Lionel Richie] said when he heard it for the first time, to which Richie immediately joked, “He was jealous.”

Looking ahead, Hilton is returning to her roots with a three-part “Simple Life” spinoff, Paris & Nicole: The Encore. This follows the friends on more absurd adventures, including a sanasa opera, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Paris & Nicole: The Encore is available to stream on Peacock, allowing fans to continue to follow Hilton's journey.
