Tennessee Basketball has seen yet another name added to its injury list. Sophomore wing Cam Carr faced an issue during the 103 - 68 win over Austin Peay on Sunday at Food City Center. He seemingly injured his hand in the second half and didn't practice on Tuesday. His status for this week's Baha Mar Championship in The Bahamas remains unclear. His left thumb bent awkwardly as he was fouled with 7:10 left. He managed to make one of two free throws and then checked out for the rest of the game.

Tournament and Opponents

Tennessee (4 - 0) will participate in a four - team tournament in The Bahamas. They will begin with a game against Virginia on Thursday at 9:30 p.m. Eastern Time on CBS Sports Network. On Friday night, they will face either No. 13 Baylor or No. 22 St. John's. The team is already shorthanded with sophomore center JP Estrella sidelined due to a lingering foot injury. He missed practice on Tuesday afternoon. Tennessee assistant coach Gregg Polinksy described his status as "day to day" on Tuesday.

Other Injured Players

Transfer guard Chaz Lanier was dealing with a migraine on Tuesday and worked individually with staff members during the early parts of practice. The Vols entered the season with 11 scholarship players out of a possible 13 and have not yet played a game with their full roster available. Darlinstone Dubar, the transfer wing from Hofstra, has missed the first two weeks due to a personal matter. He last week returned to practice activity and was dressed for the Montana and Austin Peay games but did not play.

Cam Carr's Season Stats

Cam Carr is averaging 4.8 points and 1.5 rebounds in 10.3 minutes per game off the bench this season. He had four points and one rebound in nine minutes on Sunday after scoring a career - high 13 points in 16 minutes against Montana on Wednesday. His performance on the court has been an important part of the team's dynamics.

JP Estrella's Stats and Status

JP Estrella, a 6 - foot - 11, 241 - pounder from Scarborough, Maine, is averaging 4.7 points and 2.7 rebounds in 10.0 minutes per game. His foot issue has sidelined him on and off during the offseason and into the preseason. Barnes first noted in September that it was something the Vols were handling with caution. Last season as a freshman, he averaged 5.0 minutes off the bench in 25 games, averaging 1.6 points and 0.8 rebounds per game while shooting 71.4% from the floor. As of now, it's just a day - to - day situation.
