Why STITCH Golf Keeps Showing Up in My Golf Bag Wishlist

I have a hard time getting excited about golf bags. Once you’ve got one that holds your clubs and doesn’t fall apart, it’s easy to convince yourself there’s no reason to replace it. A new bag isn’t going to fix your swing, and nobody shoots three strokes better because their headcovers match.

STITCH Golf is one of the few brands that made me reconsider that.

The first thing you notice is the look. STITCH bags are clean and fairly understated, without the oversized logos and busy designs that are common with golf gear. But the more interesting part is that the brand doesn’t stop at golf bags. There are polos, pants, outer layers, travel bags and smaller accessories that make sense even when you’re nowhere near a golf course. That makes the whole collection feel a little more useful than a typical golf-only brand.

The Bag I’d Look at First

The SL2 Gen 2 is probably the easiest place to start.

It’s $398, so this is not an impulse purchase. But if you walk most of your rounds, the weight and how a bag sits on your back become things you notice very quickly. The Gen 2 weighs 5.5 pounds without the strap and uses STITCH's Touring Fabric, which is designed to be lighter and more water-resistant than leather.

I also like that the storage seems to have been designed around what golfers actually carry. The updated bag has a magnetic pocket for up to 12 balls, a felt-lined valuables section, an insulated bottle pocket and a larger GT Saddle Pocket. The four-way divider and lift-assist handles are the sort of details you probably won’t think about when looking at product photos, but you notice them when you’re pulling clubs in and out all afternoon.

And honestly, the understated design is a big part of the appeal. It looks expensive without looking like it’s trying to prove that it’s expensive.

If You Walk, Look at the Air Walker

The SL2 Air Walker makes more sense for someone who really cares about keeping things light. At 73 ounces with the strap, it’s noticeably lighter than the 5.5-pound SL2 Gen 2. STITCH has also increased the storage compared with the previous SL2, while keeping the double-strap setup and a four-way divider that can accommodate 14 clubs.

The part I’d pay attention to is the material. The Air Walker uses performance nylon rather than the Touring Fabric used on the SL2. It’s the lighter option of the two, and STITCH has clearly built this one around walking rather than simply making another lightweight-looking bag.

The Clothes Are Probably More Practical Than You Expect

Golf clothes are where a lot of brands lose me. I don't really want a polo that only makes sense for a Saturday morning tee time. If I’m paying for it, I want to be able to wear it to lunch, while traveling, or on a normal summer day without looking like I just walked off the 18th hole.

That’s a big part of STITCH's current lineup. The brand has polos, five-pocket pants, shorts, quarter-zips, hoodies and vests, and the current Fall 2026 collection adds more everyday pieces to the mix. The Solid Pique is currently $98 in most colors, while some colors are marked down, and the Heston Five Pocket Pant is also showing sale pricing on the site.

This is probably the part of STITCH that makes the most sense if you’re not looking to spend $400 on a golf bag. A polo or pair of golf pants is an easier way to see whether you actually like the brand.

Small Details Make the Difference

I wouldn't tell someone to replace a perfectly good golf bag just because STITCH Golf makes nicer-looking ones.

But if you're already looking for a new bag, or you're putting together a golf setup from scratch, the details are worth paying attention to. The SL2 Gen 2 has the storage, carry system and weather-resistant construction you'd expect at this price, while the Air Walker makes more sense if reducing weight is the priority.

And if neither of those is on your list, there are plenty of smaller ways into the brand. STITCH currently has headcovers, alignment stick covers, gloves, bags and other accessories, so you don't have to make a $398 decision just to try something from the brand.

Right now, the timing is also worth noting. STITCH is promoting its Fall 2026 collection and currently advertises 20% off sitewide with code FALL2026, along with a sale section featuring selected items up to 50% off.

For a brand at this price point, that's the kind of promotion I'd actually wait for. The gear isn't cheap, and it doesn't pretend to be. But when the thing you were already considering happens to be discounted, that's a much better reason to buy than simply convincing yourself you need another golf bag.
