Baseball Highlights: Papermakers and Ghosts Secure Wins
In a thrilling Fox Valley Association baseball contest, Kimberly's Papermakers triumphed over Appleton North with a 4-1 victory. The decisive moment came in the seventh inning when Kimberly broke a 1-1 tie with three crucial runs. Ryan Halfmann contributed two hits, and Maddux Hermus drove in two runs. Pitcher Bryce Mischler delivered a stellar complete game, yielding only one run on six hits and one walk while striking out six. For Appleton North, Aedan Waterstreet recorded two hits, including a double, and secured their lone RBI. In another FVA matchup, Neenah's Rockets defeated Oshkosh West 4-0, largely thanks to Cal Juckem's dominant complete game performance, where he allowed only three hits and struck out 13 batters. Kaukauna's Ghosts delivered an offensive onslaught against Appleton West, winning 19-2. They scored seven runs in the second inning and an additional twelve in the third, amassing 18 hits and capitalizing on six errors by Appleton West. Bron Schaefer and Brayden Jenkins each had three hits, with Jenkins also pitching four innings for the win. Fond du Lac secured a 6-3 victory over Hortonville, propelled by a four-run first inning. Seymour's Thunder beat Menasha 15-8, benefiting from eight errors by the Bluejays and strong hitting from Nolan Beilfuss, Caden Steffens, Jordan Thompson, and Xavier Salzman. Winneconne edged out Xavier 4-3, with Noah Bouras hitting two doubles and pitcher Lucky Pahl striking out 13 over five innings. St. Mary Catholic's Jacob Ernsting pitched a two-hit shutout in their 6-0 win against Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah, striking out 11. Brillion's Lions defeated New Holstein 7-5, fueled by three-run innings in the third and fifth. Chilton's Tigers dominated Sheboygan Falls 14-4, with Ethan Schneider leading the charge with three hits and four RBIs. Reedsville held off Hilbert for a 3-2 victory, and Amherst's Falcons had an explosive offensive day, collecting 21 hits to beat Manawa 19-3.

Hortonville's Polar Bears claimed a decisive 10-1 victory over Fond du Lac in Fox Valley Association softball. Grace Danoski was instrumental, going 3-for-4 with two doubles and an RBI, while also pitching a complete game, allowing only two hits and one unearned run. Kaukauna's Ghosts posted a commanding 20-1 win against Appleton West, highlighted by an 18-run third inning. Lillian Hanke hit two doubles for Appleton West. Seymour's Thunder shut out Xavier 6-0 in a Bay Conference game, with Adde Smith hitting a double and a home run, contributing four RBIs. Pitcher Kendra Rettler earned the win, striking out 10 batters. Menasha's Bluejays defeated New London 10-2, with Haylee Stobb hitting a home run and driving in four runs. St. Mary Catholic narrowly beat Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah 2-1, scoring both runs in the first inning, with Paxtyn Trinkner securing the win. Chilton's Tigers rallied to beat Valders 3-2 in Eastern Wisconsin Conference play, with Olivia Hoefner driving in two runs. New Holstein's Huskies topped Brillion 7-5 in a tight Eastern Wisconsin Conference contest, breaking a tie in the late innings. Amherst continued their winning ways in softball, defeating Manawa 5-2, with Izzy Losinski hitting a double and driving in two runs.
Girls' Soccer Victories: Papermakers and Bluejays Excel
Kimberly's Papermakers secured a 4-0 victory over Oshkosh West in girls' soccer, thanks to two goals each from Kennedy Ebben and Emily Urban. Katie Owens provided two assists, and Skyler Brey added one. Goalkeeper Bee Brockert made five saves, helping Kimberly improve its record to 13-1 overall and 6-0 in the Fox Valley Association. Menasha's Bluejays dominated New London with an 8-2 win. Emma Hanagen scored three goals, and Mariana Miller added two. Keira Randall and Sophia Sierra also contributed goals, with Sierra recording two assists. Goalkeeper Madison Mulder made four saves.
Boys' Golf Results: Tournaments and Dual Meets
In boys' golf, Hortonville defeated Fond du Lac 152-172 at Grand View. Top performers for Hortonville included Wesley Barker (36), Connor Graf (37), and Carter Rohde (37). Fond du Lac's low scorer was Carter Hermanns (40). The Oconto Falls Stu Anderson Invitational saw Notre Dame Academy win with a score of 317, narrowly beating De Pere (318). Reilly Jordan (Waupaca), Dylan Clark (Oconto Falls), Sean Callahan (Notre Dame Academy), Nolan Patrickus (De Pere), Palmer Anderson (De Pere), and Connor Eastman (Marinette) all tied for top individual honors with a score of 76. Menominee Nation/Gresham took first place at the Marion Invitational with 323 points, closely followed by Amherst (326). Tate Drummond (Manawa) was the individual medalist with a 74. In Eastern Wisconsin Conference #7, Brillion won with a score of 171, ahead of Chilton/Hilbert (179).
Boys' Tennis Scores: Competitive Matches on the Court
Kaukauna triumphed over Oshkosh North 4-3 in boys' tennis. Key singles victories for Oshkosh North came from Kallum Larson-Poeschel, Luka Kovaceic, and Quasi Alqawasmi. Kaukauna secured singles wins from Mueller Jaxon and swept all three doubles matches. Kimberly dominated Hortonville with a 7-0 sweep, with singles victories from Colin Meixl, Preston McGinnis, Murphy Matz, and Noah Kuender, and strong doubles performances. Oshkosh West edged out Appleton East 4-3. Kole Stauffacher earned a singles win for Oshkosh West, while Appleton East secured singles victories from Henry Taylor, Owen Kiekhaefer, and Ben Salvo. Oshkosh West swept the doubles matches to secure the overall win. Kohler defeated St. Mary Catholic 7-0, showcasing strong performances across all singles and doubles matches.
