Area High School Athletes of the Week Poll Now Open

A community-wide vote is currently underway to celebrate the exceptional male high school athletes in the Jackson vicinity, recognizing their performances from March 30 to April 4. This interactive poll allows residents to support their favorite local sports figures, highlighting the dedication and skill present in regional high school athletics.

Several promising young talents have been nominated across both baseball and soccer. Among the contenders are Lane Estes from Chester County, Carter Winders representing Crockett County, and Cameron Deans from Hardin County, all vying for recognition. Additional nominees include Wyatt Brewer of McKenzie, Case Rickman from McNairy Central, Angel Acevedo from Obion County, Tommy Baker of South Gibson, Owen Atwood representing Trinity Christian Academy, and Poston Essary from Westview. The voting window is open until April 9 at 4 p.m., offering ample time for public participation.

This initiative not only serves to acknowledge the hard work and achievements of these student-athletes but also fosters a sense of community pride and engagement with local sports.
