The Wildcats' seeding places them among strong contenders, including top-ranked Oklahoma State, the reigning national champions and Big 12 victors, followed by LSU, Alabama, and Duke.
Playing at home offers a distinct benefit for the Arizona squad. The Gallery Golf Club, nestled northwest of Tucson, is a course well-known to the team. Its history of hosting PGA events, such as the WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship in 2007 and 2008, speaks to its quality and challenge. The team enters the NCAA Regional on the heels of a commendable second-place finish at the Big 12 Championship. There, they posted a score of 2-under par, finishing eight strokes behind Oklahoma State. A strong individual performance saw Filip Jakubcik secure sixth place, with Taishi Moto and Zach Pollo also ranking among the nation's top 100 collegiate golfers. Head coach Jim Anderson is guiding the team with the ultimate goal of reaching the NCAA Championships, which will take place in Carlsbad, California, from May 29 to June 3. Arizona last participated in the championships in 2024, where they finished 15th.
