His squad delivered an impressive performance, remaining undefeated throughout the competition with a flawless 7-0 record. Their dominant run culminated in a championship victory against Serbia, securing the United States' eighth consecutive gold medal in this prestigious event. Fitch, who succeeded his father, Jeff, as Fairport's head coach in the 2001-02 season, has led the program to four Section V titles. His own playing career includes being a first-team All-Greater Rochester selection as a Fairport player and earning two NCAA Division III All-American honors as a point guard at Geneseo, further solidifying his deep understanding and passion for the sport.
