As the day neared its end, India stood at 332 for eight, with Devdutt Padikkal holding strong at 141 not out. After Padikkal took a single from spinner Dilum Sudeera's first ball of the final over, Brar took strike and proceeded to dominate. The left-handed batsman launched two consecutive sixes, then strategically declined a single to retain the strike. He followed this with two more maximums, pushing India's total past 350 to conclude the day at 357 for eight. Brar's rapid contribution included two boundaries and four sixes during the 90th over, adding a crucial 51 runs alongside Padikkal in just 30 balls.
