There's a point in a golf round when guessing the distance just isn't good enough. You're between clubs, the green is elevated, and the yardage on the scorecard doesn't tell you the whole story. That's where good golf technology earns its place. Bushnell Golf has built its reputation around distance-measuring equipment, but its current lineup goes well beyond laser rangefinders, with GPS devices, launch monitors, and speakers designed for different ways of playing.
Meet the New Tour V7 Shift
The Tour V7 Shift is one of the most interesting additions to Bushnell's rangefinder lineup. Its dual-color OLED display uses red and green to make the readout easier to distinguish, while Slope-Switch technology lets golfers toggle slope compensation on or off. That second feature matters if you play both casual rounds and competitions where slope-adjusted distances aren't permitted.
It's a premium piece of golf gear, and not everyone needs to spend more on a rangefinder. But if you want clear yardage readings and the option to account for elevation changes, this is the model I'd look at first.
Tour Hybrid Makes Sense for Golfers Who Want More Than a Laser
The Tour Hybrid takes a slightly different approach by combining laser measurements with GPS distances in one device. You can laser a specific target while also accessing GPS information, which is useful when you're trying to understand the hole beyond the flag itself.
For golfers who regularly face unfamiliar courses, that extra context can be handy. The trade-off is the price: the Tour Hybrid sits above a basic rangefinder, so it's worth considering whether you'll actually use both systems. If you mostly want a quick distance to the pin, a simpler model may be enough.
A GPS Speaker for the Walk Between Shots
Not every worthwhile upgrade needs to be about yardage. The Wingman HD combines a 3.5-inch HD touchscreen with 360-degree audio, bringing music and golf information into one device. It's an appealing option for golfers who enjoy having music on the course and prefer not to keep checking their phone for distances.
If you'd rather carry something smaller, the Wingman Mini offers a more compact alternative with audible GPS distances. The choice really comes down to how you play: a larger speaker suits golfers who spend their rounds riding in a cart, while a smaller unit makes more sense if you want to keep your bag setup simple.
Better Practice Starts Away from the Course
Bushnell's Launch Pro is aimed at golfers who want to understand their game beyond the scorecard. It measures club and ball data and can be used indoors or outdoors, making it relevant for range sessions as well as home simulator setups. The investment is considerably bigger than buying a rangefinder, but it serves a different purpose: helping you examine what happens during a shot rather than simply measuring the distance to the target.
For anyone building a home golf setup, it's worth comparing the Launch Pro configurations and the additional equipment required before committing to a full simulator.
Find the Bushnell Golf Gear That Fits Your Game
You don't need every piece of golf technology in your bag. A reliable rangefinder may be the most useful upgrade for one golfer, while another might get more out of GPS distances or launch-monitor data. Bushnell's current collection covers those different needs, from the new Tour V7 Shift to the versatile Tour Hybrid and Wingman GPS speakers.
