Among the celebrated players, Team West included Lucas Krebs, an Illinois second baseman representing the Burlington Bees, and Graham Kasey, a pitcher from the University of Illinois Springfield (UIS) and Windsor native, playing for the Normal Cornbelters. Kasey expressed his excitement, noting, "Making it here in my fourth year is truly rewarding. I've had good seasons before but wasn't selected, so this feels great."
Additional Local Standouts on Team East
Team East also boasted a strong Central Illinois contingent, featuring UIS pitcher and Shelbyville native Nathan Trimble, Champaign's own Sam McArthur, and EIU pitcher Nolan Decker. Trimble shared his personal goal for the season, stating, "My aim was to make it to the All-Star Game, as I wasn't sure I'd play the entire season. Achieving this goal is incredibly exciting for me."
