Cincinnati Reds Shut Out of National League All-Star Voting Finalists

The Cincinnati Reds have been noticeably absent from the top contenders in the most recent National League All-Star voting update. No player from the Reds roster has made it into the leading positions or the initial round of finalists across any baseball position.

The current frontrunners in the balloting predominantly feature talent from the Atlanta Braves and the Los Angeles Dodgers. At the catcher position, Drake Baldwin of the Braves and Will Smith of the Dodgers are leading the votes. The first base category sees Freddie Freeman from the Dodgers and Matt Olson from the Braves as top contenders. In the second base race, Ozzie Albies of the Braves and Bryson Stott of the Philadelphia Phillies are ahead. For third base, Max Muncy of the Dodgers and Alec Bohm of the Phillies are leading. Shortstop contenders include CJ Abrams of the Washington Nationals and Mookie Betts of the Dodgers. In the outfield, Andy Pages and Teoscar Hernandez from the Dodgers, Ronald Acuña Jr. and Michael Harris II from the Braves, Juan Soto of the New York Mets, and Brandon Marsh of the Philadelphia Phillies are the finalists. Shohei Ohtani of the Dodgers has secured his spot as the designated hitter. Additionally, Ernie Clement of the Toronto Blue Jays is leading the American League vote-getters, earning him a starting position at second base for the AL.

The first stage of the voting process concluded on June 25. The next crucial phase, where fans will vote for the All-Star ballot finalists, is scheduled to start on Monday, June 29. During this second phase, each valid email address is limited to one ballot submission per day, with a maximum of four submissions allowed in total. The voting windows are set from Monday, June 29, 2026, through Thursday, July 2, 2026, with specific daily timings.

As the All-Star game approaches, the absence of Cincinnati Reds players among the initial frontrunners highlights the strong performances of other teams like the Dodgers and Braves. Fans now look forward to the final voting stage to determine the full roster for the prestigious event.
