In a hard-fought contest at the Colt Corral, Clear Fork's success against Lexington on Friday, September 4, was largely attributed to their robust running game and an unyielding defense. The Colts' defensive unit was particularly dominant, completely shutting down Lexington's offense and preventing them from scoring any touchdowns. A pivotal moment in the game saw the defense make a crucial stop deep in their own territory during the second half, forcing a turnover on downs and preserving their lead. On the offensive side, running back Trey Sellers was a key contributor, surpassing the 100-yard rushing mark, while quarterback Marcus Hoeflich added 82 rushing yards and a touchdown.
A standout performer for the Colts was Nash Evans, whose exceptional versatility was on full display. Evans ignited the team's offense early with a 37-yard pass connection with Hoeflich. Another bright spot for the Minutemen was Cam Glennon, who provided their only score of the game with an electrifying 85-yard kickoff return in the fourth quarter. Glennon also contributed 24 receiving yards and 20 rushing yards.
