Colorado Rockies Prospects Shine in MLB All-Star Futures Game Selection

Two rising stars from the Colorado Rockies' minor league system, Charlie Condon and Roldy Brito, have been selected to represent the National League in the 2026 All-Star Futures Game. This prestigious event, held in Philadelphia, showcases baseball's top emerging talents. Condon, a powerful first baseman and outfielder, earns his second consecutive Futures Game nod, highlighting his consistent development. Meanwhile, Brito, a versatile center fielder and second baseman, makes his debut appearance, a testament to his explosive performance in previous seasons and ongoing progress.

Charlie Condon, a 23-year-old first baseman and outfielder, was the third overall pick in the 2024 MLB draft. This marks his second consecutive selection to the All-Star Futures Game, demonstrating his rapid ascent through the minor league ranks. Despite a slower start to his third professional season, Condon has found his stride in recent months. In June, playing for the Triple-A Albuquerque Isotopes, he posted an impressive slash line of .337/.462/.814, with a 1.276 OPS. His offensive surge included three doubles, four triples, and ten home runs, solidifying his reputation as a formidable hitter. The University of Georgia alumnus, who also won the Golden Spikes Award in 2024, is widely anticipated to make his Major League debut at some point during the current season, a moment eagerly awaited by Rockies fans.

Roldy Brito, a 19-year-old center fielder and second baseman, is another exciting prospect garnering attention. His selection to the Futures Game underscores his remarkable journey within the Rockies' farm system. Brito's breakout moment came in 2025 when he dominated the Arizona Complex League, earning MVP honors with a .368 batting average, .445 on-base percentage, and .555 slugging percentage, along with 13 doubles, six triples, three home runs, 21 RBIs, and 22 stolen bases. Following his ACL success, he continued his impressive run with the Low-A Fresno Grizzlies, hitting .375/.442/.463 with seven doubles, 17 RBIs, and 13 stolen bases in 33 games. Although his 2026 season has seen a slight regression in statistics, Brito is still performing exceptionally well in his second stint with the Grizzlies, currently batting .312/.363/.477 with 19 doubles, seven triples, six home runs, 60 RBIs, and 15 stolen bases. A promotion to High-A is expected for Brito in the near future, further cementing his status as a top-tier prospect.

The 2026 All-Star Futures Game is scheduled for Sunday, July 12th, at 10:00 AM MDT, kicking off the All-Star Week festivities in Philadelphia. Baseball enthusiasts can catch the action live on NBC. This event provides a valuable platform for these young athletes to showcase their skills on a national stage, offering a glimpse into the future of Major League Baseball and the potential impact these players will have on their respective organizations, particularly the Colorado Rockies.
