Among the notable nominations, Elizabeth Layton of Sussex Academy's girls' lacrosse team displayed an impressive offensive prowess, tallying eight goals and three assists in two crucial victories. Her contributions were instrumental in her team's successes against Smyrna and Newark Charter, solidifying her status as a formidable force on the field.
On the track, Samantha Weinert from Ursuline dominated the New Castle County track and field championships. She secured first place in both the girls' 100-meter and 200-meter races, highlighting her speed and competitive edge.
