Wallace embarked on his NFL career in 2018 as an undrafted free agent out of Alabama. Despite the initial challenges, he quickly established himself, starting 57 regular season games and several playoff contests with the Buffalo Bills. Following his impactful time with the Bills, Wallace moved on to play two seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers. His time in Pittsburgh proved to be statistically noteworthy, where he achieved a career-high of four interceptions and defended 13 passes, further cementing his reputation as a reliable defensive back. He concluded his active playing days with the Denver Broncos.
Collegiate Roots and Championship Glory
Before his NFL exploits, Wallace made a significant mark at the University of Alabama. His story there is often hailed as one of college football's most inspiring, as he walked on to the team and eventually earned a starting position despite not receiving any Division I scholarship offers initially. He was an integral part of Alabama's championship-winning teams in 2015 and 2017 under the legendary coach Nick Saban, including the memorable 26-23 overtime victory against Georgia in 2017.

In 2024, Wallace joined the Denver Broncos on a one-year deal, providing valuable veteran depth. He played in 13 games, starting two, before the Broncos moved on. Subsequently, he signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars, but an injury sustained last summer placed him on the injured reserve list, ultimately leading to his retirement announcement.
