The 25-year-old Pickens secured a franchise tag on April 29, guaranteeing him a substantial $27.3 million for the impending season. However, discussions concerning a more extensive, long-term contract extension were temporarily deferred earlier in the offseason.
A Stellar 2025 Season and Promising Future
In his inaugural season with the Dallas Cowboys in 2025, Pickens distinguished himself by earning his first Pro Bowl selection. He achieved remarkable statistics, including 93 receptions for 1,429 yards and nine touchdowns.
