Following Havrisik's release, the Packers moved swiftly to bring in Lenny Krieg, as confirmed by Bill Huber of SI.com. Krieg had participated in a tryout with the team the day before his signing. His background is particularly noteworthy: a native of Berlin, Germany, Krieg transitioned to American football after growing dispassionate with soccer. Remarkably, he acquired his kicking skills by studying YouTube videos.
Krieg's talent was showcased during his tenure with the Stuttgart Surge in the European League of Football, which subsequently earned him an invitation to the NFL's International Player Pathway program. He distinguished himself at the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine, successfully converting all 14 of his attempts, a perfect record unmatched by any other kicker. Last season, Krieg was part of the Falcons' practice squad and later secured a futures contract with the Jets, although he was released by the latter in June. His arrival in Green Bay signals the team's continued pursuit of a strong and stable kicking game.
