Following a successful neck surgical procedure, confirmed by his surgeon and the Philadelphia Eagles' spine specialist Alex Vaccaro, Whitehead has been given the green light to resume his professional athletic pursuits. The 29-year-old athlete, who was a key contributor to the Buccaneers' Super Bowl LV victory in 2020, has already begun engaging with NFL franchises, conducting tryouts with both the Indianapolis Colts and Houston Texans. Drafted by the Buccaneers in 2018 in the fourth round, Whitehead spent two seasons with the Jets from 2022 to 2023 before rejoining Tampa Bay in 2024. Throughout his 105 career games, including 101 starts, he has recorded 11 interceptions, 557 tackles, and 45 passes defended.
