Bishop Carroll also secured a notable 34-23 victory against Washburn Rural. The 5A division saw a nail-biting finish as Labette County edged out Emporia 29-28. Seaman delivered a resounding 62-7 defeat to Shawnee Heights, and Lansing overcame Topeka West with a score of 42-14.

The 2A division saw Oskaloosa defeat Atchison County 34-26, and Riley County secure a close 20-15 victory over Rossville (1A).
