Among the standout nominees for this recognition is Saisha Patil, a sophomore golfer from Okemos. Her impressive performance on September 9 saw her card a round of 34, playing a pivotal role in her team's victory at a CAAC Blue jamboree held at Michigan State's Forest Akers East. Patil's contribution helped the Okemos Wolves achieve a commanding team score of 152, outpacing their closest competitor, DeWitt, by a significant margin of 26 strokes. Her consistent play and leadership on the course demonstrate a promising future in the sport.

Another notable candidate is Zadah Taylor, a freshman swimmer representing Mason High School. On September 12, Taylor was instrumental in leading the Bulldogs to a narrow three-point triumph over St. Johns at their home invitational. Her individual prowess was evident as she claimed first place in the 50 freestyle event, clocking in at 31.49 seconds. Furthermore, Taylor showcased her team spirit by being a key member of Mason's victorious 200 freestyle relay team, illustrating her versatility and impact in the pool.

Rounding out the nominees is Emery Wallace, a freshman volleyball player from Bath High School. Wallace's exceptional all-around game on September 9 propelled the Bees to a decisive three-set sweep against Fowler in a CMAC match. During the 25-19, 25-21, 25-15 victory, she recorded an impressive 12 kills and 11 digs, along with three aces, highlighting her offensive and defensive capabilities. Her dynamic presence on the court proved crucial in securing the win for her team.
