Senior athlete Allison Laury delivered a standout performance in the 200-meter dash, claiming the fourth spot with a time of 25.38 seconds, thereby earning a direct qualification to the state championships. Following her impressive showing, freshman sensation Mia Twedt secured a runner-up position in the 800-meter run, clocking in at 2:15.09, which also guarantees her a spot in Columbus.

Sisterly Success: Gabi Twedt and Katya Prykhodko Excel in 1,600-meter Run

The 1,600-meter run saw twin sister Gabi Twedt and senior Katya Prykhodko both qualify for the state competition. Prykhodko finished fourth overall with a time of 5:09.44, closely followed by Gabi Twedt in fifth place at 5:09.63, with both athletes achieving automatic qualification.

Relay Dominance: 4x100-meter Team Secures Third Place

The 4x100-meter relay squad, composed of Tatum Stover, Sylvia Secrist, Olivia Thomas, and Allison Laury, showcased their collective speed and coordination by finishing third in the Division III regional meet with a time of 49.29 seconds, solidifying their advancement to the state championships in Columbus.

Despite placing sixth in the regional event with a time of 4:00.14, the 4x400-meter relay team, featuring Olivia Thomas, Sylvia Secrist, Mia Twedt, and Allison Laury, earned an at-large bid. Their time was among the top three non-qualifying times across all three regional competitions, highlighting their competitive spirit and talent.

The 4x800-meter relay team, comprising Katya Prykhodko, Jersie Palmer, Morgan Harrod, and Mia Twedt, delivered an exceptional performance, securing the runner-up title at the regional championships with a time of 9:28.70, ensuring their participation in the state finals.
