In mid-September, specifically on the 14th and 15th, the University of Maryland's men's golf team participated in the Bearcat Invitational, hosted at the scenic Coldstream Country Club in Cincinnati, Ohio. The Terrapins concluded the event by tying for seventh place with the University of Kentucky, both teams recording a total of 853 strokes over the course of the tournament. This performance placed them only a single stroke over par for the entire competition, indicating a strong and competitive outing.
The team displayed remarkable consistency across all three rounds. During the initial round, junior Will Gregware emerged as a leading player for Maryland, carding an impressive 69 strokes. Senior Emil Riegger also contributed significantly with a steady 71 strokes, helping the team achieve a first-round total of 286 strokes.
