The New York Mets organization is preparing for a monumental occasion on September 19th, as they will officially retire the No. 15 jersey of their esteemed former outfielder, Carlos Beltran. This special ceremony, honoring a player recently inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame, will precede a game at Citi Field where the Mets will face their rivals, the Philadelphia Phillies.
Beltran's recent election to the National Baseball Hall of Fame, with his induction ceremony scheduled for July 26th in Cooperstown, marks a crowning achievement in his illustrious career. His decision to feature a Mets cap on his Hall of Fame plaque underscores the deep connection he maintains with the franchise. Expressing his gratitude, Beltran acknowledged the profound significance of this recognition from owners Steve and Alex Cohen, considering it the ultimate tribute and a true blessing.
