Milwaukee Brewers Reacquire Right-Hander Bryse Wilson

The Milwaukee Brewers have once again secured the services of veteran right-handed pitcher Bryse Wilson, according to various media reports. This move marks a reunion for Wilson with the Brewers, a team he previously represented for two seasons.

Details regarding the financial aspects and duration of Wilson's new contract have not yet been made public. The 28-year-old pitcher had entered free agency just days prior, following his designation for assignment by the Chicago Cubs last Saturday.

During his brief stint with the Cubs this season, Wilson made two relief appearances, where he yielded seven earned runs on twelve hits over a total of 7.2 innings pitched. Before joining the Cubs, he was part of the Philadelphia Phillies organization. His tenure there was short-lived, with only one scoreless, two-inning outing before his release.

Wilson's prior time with the Milwaukee Brewers, spanning the 2023-2024 seasons, proved to be a more successful period in his career. Across 87 games, which included nine starts, he compiled an impressive 11-4 win-loss record and maintained a solid earned run average of 3.42.

Since his Major League debut in 2018, Wilson has played for six different teams. His career statistics stand at a 20-23 record with four saves and a 4.86 ERA through 166 games, of which 57 were starts.

The reacquisition of Bryse Wilson signifies the Brewers' intent to bolster their pitching staff with a familiar and experienced arm. His previous performance with the team suggests he could be a valuable asset in their upcoming campaigns.
