Last week's poll, which closed on May 24, saw Hunter Hemelgarn of Ida emerge victorious with a remarkable 9,355 votes, overcoming a field of five athletes who each garnered over 1,000 votes. This week's competition is equally fierce, featuring nominees from track and field, softball, golf, and baseball, all vying for public recognition. Among the notable candidates are Olivia Beaudrie and Christian Craanen from SMCC track and field, Steel Decator from SMCC baseball, Maddi Duke from Bedford track and field, and Cam Fairchild from Dundee baseball.
