As a consequence of these impermissible contacts, the Iowa State men's wrestling program faces a series of disciplinary measures. These include a one-year probationary period, a monetary fine of $25,000 coupled with an additional 0.5% of the program's budget, and two separate one-week prohibitions on recruiting communications with transfers during specific windows in the 2026-27 and 2027-28 academic years. Furthermore, Chris Perry, identified as the booster involved, has been disassociated from the program for two years, and former head coach Kevin Dresser, who now oversees both men's and women's wrestling, will serve a suspension equivalent to 10% of the regular season (two contests) during the 2026-27 academic year.
