Rookie kicker Trey Smack maintained a perfect record on his 17 attempts, including nine field goals and eight extra points, under Adomitis's snaps. However, the organization's steadfast retention of Orzech, despite his injury and his three-year contract extension signed last August, consistently suggested he remained the preferred choice for the starting role.
