Rutgers University's football program is aiming for a stronger performance this upcoming season after a challenging five-win record last fall. The team's prospects are significantly bolstered by the recognition of two key offensive players, KJ Duff and Kobe Asamoah, who have been named to a distinguished list of college football's most athletic individuals, affectionately known as the 'Freaks List.' This acknowledgment underscores their pivotal roles and exceptional physical prowess.
KJ Duff, a wide receiver, secured the 21st spot on the 'Freaks List' following an impressive 2025 season where he emerged as a dominant force in the Big Ten. His remarkable statistics included 60 receptions, 1,084 receiving yards, and seven touchdowns, coupled with a national leading 22 contested catches. Demonstrating incredible agility, Duff recorded a 4.16 shuttle time and a 10-3 broad jump this summer. Similarly, offensive guard Kobe Asamoah has become an indispensable part of Rutgers' offensive line, earning Honorable Mention All-Big Ten honors by allowing merely 11 pressures in the previous season. Asamoah’s physical attributes are equally impressive, featuring a 6-10 wingspan, 34-inch arms, and 10 5/8-inch hands, alongside remarkable strength, highlighted by a 605-pound squat and 305-pound pull-ups with an additional 105 pounds.
