UVA Extends Men's Basketball Coach Ryan Odom's Contract Through 2032

The University of Virginia has officially announced a significant contract extension for its men's head basketball coach, Ryan Odom, securing his tenure through March 2032. This extension comes after a remarkable first season with the Cavaliers in 2025-26, where Odom guided the team to an impressive 30-6 overall record and a strong 15-3 finish in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC), placing them second. Under his leadership, the team not only reached the ACC Tournament final but also advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament, marking the sixth time in school history that the program achieved 30 or more victories in a single season. Odom's exceptional coaching prowess was recognized with a nomination as a semifinalist for the prestigious Naismith National Coach of the Year Award.

Director of Athletics Carla Williams expressed profound satisfaction with Odom's contributions, stating that he has made an immediate and lasting impact on the program.
