Ahkello Witherspoon's career began in 2017 when he was drafted in the third round by the San Francisco 49ers. Standing at an impressive 6-foot-2 and weighing 215 pounds, he played four seasons with the 49ers. This move marks a reunion for Witherspoon with Washington's general manager, Adam Peters, who previously held the position of vice president of player personnel for the 49ers during Witherspoon's tenure there. His collegiate football career saw him play for Colorado.
Extensive NFL Experience Across Multiple Teams
Following his time with the 49ers, Witherspoon's journey led him to the Seattle Seahawks in 2021, though he was subsequently traded to the Pittsburgh Steelers before the season commenced. He then spent two seasons with the Steelers before joining the Rams in 2023. Throughout his career, Witherspoon has participated in 96 NFL games, starting in 64 of them.
