The prestigious Wimbledon tournament is gearing up for its initial rounds, with Day 1 and Day 2 promising captivating tennis action. On Sunday, June 28, 2026, the schedule was released, detailing the matchups for the first two days of play, set to begin on Monday, June 29, 2026.

Day 1 on Monday, June 29, will witness the return of men's defending champion Jannik Sinner, who will commence his campaign on Centre Court against Miomir Kecmanovic. Sinner, currently a favorite to retain his title, has not competed since his unexpected early departure from the French Open last month, attributed to illness amidst challenging heat conditions. Also gracing Centre Court will be the seven-time Wimbledon victor, Novak Djokovic, who starts his quest for a record 25th Grand Slam title against China's Wu Yibing. Women's top seed, Aryna Sabalenka, will face Teodora Kostovic, with the possibility of a third-round rematch against British star Emma Raducanu looming later in the tournament. Raducanu, who is battling a minor injury concern, will play Croatia's Antonia Ruzic on Court No. 1.

Day 2, Tuesday, June 30, continues the high-stakes competition with another round of exciting matches. On Centre Court, Taylor Townsend will challenge Iga Swiatek, while Taylor Fritz goes head-to-head with Jack Draper. Tennis legend Serena Williams is also scheduled to play Maya Joint. Court No. 1 will feature Alexander Blockx against Alexander Zverev, Lois Boisson taking on Elena Rybakina, and Stan Wawrinka battling Matteo Berrettini. Matches across other courts, including Courts 2, 3, 12, 18, and several outer courts, will also showcase a diverse range of international talent, with play commencing at 11:00 AM on most courts. Notable players such as Jessica Pegula, Carlos Ruud, Naomi Osaka, Coco Gauff, Alexander Bublik, Frances Tiafoe, and many more will be competing in their respective opening rounds.

The tournament schedule outlines the progression of singles and doubles events throughout the championship. The initial rounds of men's and women's singles will span Monday and Tuesday, followed by the second rounds on Wednesday and Thursday. Doubles categories, including men's, women's, and mixed, will begin their respective competitions from Wednesday onwards. Junior events and wheelchair tennis categories will join the schedule from Saturday, July 4, promising a comprehensive and exciting two weeks of tennis until the finals on Saturday, July 11 (women's singles) and Sunday, July 12 (men's singles).
