Navigating the Fantasy Football Trade Landscape in 2024

Nov 19, 2024 at 1:24 PM
As we reach the latter part of the 2024 fantasy football regular season, two crucial avenues emerge for enhancing your rosters - the waiver wire and trades. Evaluating these trades can be a challenging task, as managers often overvalue their players. This is where the Week 12 fantasy football trade value charts prove to be invaluable. You can also refer to my Week 12 fantasy rankings to make informed lineup and waiver decisions.

Unleashing the Power of Trade Value Charts

These trade value charts serve as your personal fantasy football trade analyzer, applicable in standard, half-PPR, and full PPR leagues. When presented with a trade offer, simply whip out your phone calculator (no need for an actual one) and input the values of each player. It's important to note that if you're offered an uneven trade like a 2-for-1 or 3-for-1, include the values of the players you'd be benching or dropping in your calculation. For instance, if someone offers you Isiah Pacheco, Jerry Jeudy, and Xavier Legette (combined value of 84) for Joe Mixon (66), it might seem like a good deal initially. But if you're sacrificing players like Austin Ekeler and Devaughn Vele (combined value of 31) in the process, it turns out to be a net negative for you.Another crucial aspect to consider is that the "1 QB" values are specifically for standard scoring leagues. In PPR formats, quarterback value diminishes. Roughly deduct 3% of their values in half-PPR and an additional 3% in full PPR. As the season progresses and teams look to consolidate, this deduction becomes more significant. For example, Joe Burrow's value in standard formats is 29. In half-PPR, it drops to 28 (a 3% deduction), and in full PPR, it further reduces to 27 (a 6% deduction).
