The pivotal moment occurred during a telephone conversation between General Kainerugaba of Uganda and Sir Clive Alderton K.C.V.O., the Principal Private Secretary to Their Majesties The King and Queen of the United Kingdom. Colonel Chris Magezi, Uganda's acting director of defense public information, confirmed this development. According to Magezi, Sir Alderton conveyed King Charles III's profound appreciation for General Kainerugaba's thoughtful consideration regarding the monarch's stance on the Invictus Games.
