Exceptional Feats by Female Athletes
At the recent Myrhum Invitational, female athletes delivered a series of remarkable performances, with several competitors achieving personal bests and setting new records. Mukwonago's senior standout, Laela Presendofer, was particularly impressive, capturing three titles. She dominated in both the 100-meter and 200-meter dashes, establishing a new school record in the 100m. Additionally, Presendofer was a crucial member of Mukwonago's 4x200 relay team, which also set a new meet record. Her versatility and speed were key highlights of the competition, showcasing her exceptional talent across multiple disciplines.
Arrowhead's Payton Eicher also made significant contributions to her team's success, demonstrating her prowess in various events. Eicher secured a top-six finish in the 100-meter dash, placed second in the long jump, and won the triple jump. She played an integral role in the 4x100 relay team, which set a new Myrhum record with an impressive time of 47.07 seconds. Her teammate, Elise Schroeder, further contributed by winning the pole vault with a state-leading leap of 13-6. West Bend West's Rylee Faehling set a new state best in the 300-meter hurdles, while Slinger's Lucy Rate, a wheelchair competitor, achieved four titles in diverse events, including sprint and throwing disciplines. Outstanding Accomplishments by Male Athletes
The Myrhum Invitational also featured a strong showing from male athletes, who delivered electrifying performances and set new benchmarks. Arrowhead's junior sprinter, Trey Resch, was a dominant force, accumulating 20 points for his team. Resch set new Myrhum records in both the 100-meter and 200-meter dashes, with his times also registering as the fastest statewide in these events. His explosive speed and competitive drive were central to Arrowhead's success, proving him to be a formidable presence on the track. Homestead's senior, Jay Tally, showcased his endurance and speed by securing double titles in the 800-meter and 1,600-meter races, winning both events with impressive times. New Berlin Eisenhower's Javaryn Love also achieved a double victory, winning the 400-meter individual title and anchoring his team's winning 4x400 relay. Nicolet's Donavin Bond and Demian Harris demonstrated exceptional skill in the triple jump, finishing first and second respectively, with Bond achieving a winning jump of 46-2. The Shorewood 4x800 relay team, comprising Ben Bejma, William Nagle, Ryan Lien, and Ryan Optekar, set a state-leading time. Wisconsin Lutheran's Niyer Clayborn broke the Myrhum record in the 110-meter hurdles, though a late injury prevented him from sweeping the hurdle events, highlighting the intense and often challenging nature of elite track and field competition.
